Let’s Go Further

Pre-requisites:

Handler Must:

• attend Let’s Get Started Training Orientation at Sit Happens!®
• be interested in learning new techniques
• be willing to train with food and without the aid of metal training collars

Dog Must:

• be friendly toward other dogs and people
• walk nicely on a loose leash
• be able to work in a training environment with other dogs

Course Details:

In Let’s Go Further we start to work on expanding skills learned in Let’s Go! Our goal is to provide a higher level of obedience skills than we expected in Let’s Go! and at the same time, teach you- the handler – how to train more effectively and how to build stronger more precise behaviours. At the end of this class you and your dog should be adequately prepared to move on to any dog sport and feel confident you have the skills to teach the necessary behaviours, to be a good advocate for your dog, and to have a dog that is engaged in learning.

Dogs learn heel, stays with distance, obedience recalls together with behaviours that encourage thinking and attention.

Problem solving for behaviours not related to this class are not a part of the curriculum.

Let’s Go Further classes run once weekly for 6 weeks. Lessons are 45 minutes in length.

Class size is limited to 10 dogs. Classes are run with one Instructor and one Training Coach per lesson.
